Along with film, music plays a large part of Larry’s life, and when he finds the opportunity to marry the two he takes full advantage. There is no greater example of this than Larry’s involvement in the film SWEET BLUES: A FILM ABOUT MIKE BLOOMFIELD, directed by Bob Sarles and part of the 2014 Sony Legacy Boxed set FROM HIS HEAD TO HIS HEART TO HIS HANDS. As a cousin of Michael Bloomfield’s, it was with great pleasure that he was asked to co-produce this film and help keep the memory of such a gifted guitar player relevant and alive.

2015 saw the release of BRASS, GLASS, & STEEL: THE MAKING OF ARLEN ROTH’S SLIDE GUITAR SUMMIT, an in-depth look at the musicians and recording process of this amazing tribute to slide guitar. With an all-star lineup of guests including Sonny Landreth, Johnny Winter, David Lindley, Rick Vito, Cindy Cashdollar, Lee Roy Parnell, Greg Martin, Jimmy Vivino, Jack Pearson, and Grammy-winning producer/drummer Tom Hambridge, Arlen Roth has created an exciting album that not only spans several genres and styles but also puts on display some truly great slide guitar playing.

Most recently, Larry has launched the podcast ROADIE FREE RADIO, a weekly series on which he interviews the men and women behind the scenes of the music and film business.
